How Should You Hold a Squash Racket?
Hold the racket with a relaxed handshake grip, firm enough to control it without tensing your arm.
Place the handle in your fingers rather than your palm, with your thumb and index finger forming a V shape on top of the handle, as if you were shaking hands with the handle. There should be a space between your forefinger and middle finger. This grip allows your wrist to move freely for both forehand and backhand shots. Gripping too tightly tires your forearm and wastes energy. Relax your grip between shots, tightening only at the moment of impact.
